I always find the search online for bed and breakfasts to be frustrating. So often you end up at reservation sites that... as it usually has more information and contact information to speak with the owners directly for any information....

I said countries to the south... Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador. If they can't get to the USA, Mexico may well be... to the south... Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador. If they can't get to the USA, Mexico may well be their second choice....

The objective is to protect their citizens.

For example, if you move to Mexico and start working then you are seen as... the total population of Costa Rica being Nicaraguan! Or, maybe you'll find London to be more like New Delhi or Lagos....

In Costa Rica that is the same, however, often as an American the Farmacia will give you want you want because its... Farmcias have a "Clinc" attached that can give you a quick exam and then prescribe what you need (ie: what you want)....

Isn't the concept of traveling or being an expat inherently a concept of "being away from home" and therefore something... so during our travel we actually experience the other country's culture and not our home culture in a different place?...

Many expats have their SS checks direct deposited in a US bank account and use an ATM card to take money out. Others... you have to pick it up at the U.S. Embassy.

Direct Deposit into a US Bank account is probably the best method to use....

I think you are often out of luck as a victim of crime in Mexico, expat or not!...

I would try and find some suppliers and than organize a trip to go and visit them all.. so you can see the merchandise... with the U.S. Customs service one what items you have to pay import taxes on, or more importantly are tax free!...

I think you need to narrow down the location and type of dwelling a bit more!

Are you looking for an exotic... mansion next to the Movie Stars... or something in a poor neighborhood of Mexico City... or something rural... or ? ...

You really need to spend some time experiencing different cultures.. there are vast differences between the Latin... you'll be more limited... but you could be surprised how different Southern South America is from Central America.
